Line of sight Question

In the current game I am playing against MadSeason, the above occurred. I felt that Skirmisher had line of sight on Warhammer and fired (the blue hexes represent a planet), but there was a question of whether or not it was legal. Some assistance would be appreciated. I would prefer to not have to turn this over to the rules lawyers on retainer (I feel it would be a breach of the rules of war!)
