I think I have all the bugs worked out of this. Please let me know if you find anything that I missed.
(So much for that theory.) :lol:

Myshipbuilder v6.0 updated for Klingon Armada.

*Edit*-v6.0a Updated with Drake Notation.
*Edit*-v6.0b Corrected ORAT rounding.
*Edit*-v6.0c Corrected formula for Tractor Beam ORAT & added Probe DRAT.
*Edit*-v6.0d Corrected the Weapons TL modifier, was not effecting the battery SU value.
*Edit*-v6.0e Removed the Probe DRAT, Corrected Tractor Beam ORAT rounding and Station ACC divisors .
*Edit*-v6.0f Corrected the Flotilla sheet display. Corrected rounding for weapons with ammo. Added weapons hit chart to Drake notation.
*Edit*-v6.0g Corrected another rounding problem for weapons with ammo. Changed the way KLA Shuttle trigger, added a Y/N dialog box. Added fighter flights with sizes less than 4 to allow for fleets like the SFB Hydrans with 1-2 fighters on almost every ship.
*Edit*-v6.0h Shields on the flotilla sheet were not being adjusted for tech level. Dual mode weapons were only calculating correctly if the larger of the 2 SU values was in the second slot. It will now work both ways.
*Edit*-v6.1 There was an error in the SU calculation for each battery. I fixed a rounding error in the battery ORAT calculation in v6.0g and didn't fix it in the SU calculation. Also, the CRAT was rounding up instead of rounding to the nearest whole number.
*Edit*-v6.1a Resorted Weapons Traits on Weapon build sheet and all three templates.
*Edit*-v6.1b Added Ammo to the Drake notation.
*Edit*-v6.1c Changed the cell format on the Fighter Build sheet to 'Text" because Open Office wasn't automaticaly updating the Capacity. Also added Notes for Critical Damage Save, number of Damage Control Dice and Launch/Recovery maximums.
*Edit*-v6.1d Fixed weapon display for Drake notation.
*Edit*-v6.1e Fixed cloaking device DRat mod of x2.

Any possibility of adding a text/Drake Notation sheet? I think it could hold people back from using the sheet if it is more difficult to post things to the Basin or in my case, import a text-based ship data sheet into Vassal. Sure, I can type the data out myself, but being the average lazy American that I am I am more likely to use a design sheet that does it for me, and all I have to do is copy and paste. Just a thought.

Am I doing something wrong? On the Ship Template section I cannot enter any weapon data (The Drop-down only has "0" as an option.

The Workbook is setup so you can build an entire fleet.

Design your weapons on the "Weapons" Tab & Fighters on the "Fighters Build" tab.
For multi mode weapons, design each mode in a different slot. Also note that each weapon must have it's own unique name. For ex. you would need to name the Range 12 Disrupter as "Mk1" or something to tell the difference between it and the Range 18 Disrupter.

Then copy the "Ship Template" and design your ship. You can do this for as many ships/flotillas/stations as you want.

I am messing with your shipbuilder and I like it a lot. Very easy to use and handy.

I tried duplicating the Klingon D7 from Klingon Armada but am getting a slightly different point value. Has anyone else tried this? I am not sure which stat I have wrong but the PV in KA is 282 and I am getting 294 with the shipbuilder.

Sorry I wasn't able to get at this today. We're getting hit with a major cold snap with freezing temps overnight tonight, so I had to take care of winterizing my boat today. (Whatever happened to that 'Global Warming' everyone was talking about?) ;)

I will take a look the sheet tomorrow and do some manual calculations to compare. I already see that there is a rounding issue in the ORAT calculation that I will have to fix.

Maybe Dan or one of the other experts can point out where my calculations are going wrong vs the published 282 CRAT.

I downloaded the new shipbuilder and also found my error. Although I had entered the values for the faceted shields I had not selected facet for the shield type. I now get 275 for the PV, as well.

You appear to have an ORAT of 28 for each tractor beam: they should be 22, which would bring your ORAT total to 1325.

You're missing a DRAT of 4 for the probes (0.8 each), which would bring your total to 60.2

1325 x 60.2 = 79765^.5 = 282.4

I forgot the .78 multiplier for the Anti-fighter & Fighter Exclusive traits.

Spreadsheet in the OP updated to v6.0c with correct formula for Tractor Beam ORAT & Probe DRAT.

Are the KA ships designed with tech levels other than 0? I am using version c of the ship builder and am 321 space units over for the Klingon D7 if I am reading the numbers correctly. Am I doing something wrong?

No you're fine. I asked the same question. Here is Dan's reply.
2) The official ships appear to use more SU's than their hull size would indicate. Were they designed using Tech levels greater than 0? Or were they designed ignoring the overage?

They were designed to match their capabilities in SFB/FC.

I was checking the tech levels and found an error in the weapons formula. TL weren't effecting them at all. Corrected in v6.0d in OP.
